Celebrating an Extraordinary Season – Thank You, Walton Science Olympiad Community

What a truly special evening we shared celebrating an exceptional Walton Science Olympiad season!
This year, our team competed in 13 tournaments (including Nationals qualification)—a remarkable journey defined by consistency, resilience, and excellence. Highlights from the season include:

Georgia State Tournament (AA Flight): 1st Place – State Champions

  • Strong finishes across major invitationals:
    • University of North Georgia (Dahlonega): 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th
    • Yellow Jacket Invitational (Georgia Tech): 2nd, 7th
    • Brookwood Invitational: 1st, 5th, 12th, 15th
    • Bulldog Invitational: 3rd, 4th, 8th
    • UGA Invitational: 1st, 12th
    • Highlands Invitational (HI): 1st
  • Additional competitions including UPenn, LASA (TX), Rickards (FL), Boyceville (WI), and GA Scrimmage further strengthened the team’s depth and experience.

Across the 2026 season, the team delivered an outstanding medal haul:

  • 1st Place: 82 medals
  • 2nd Place: 103 medals
  • 3rd Place: 79 medals
  • 4th Place: 56 medals
  • 5th Place: 68 medals
  • 6th Place: 58 medals

These numbers tell only part of the story. Behind them are countless hours of preparation, collaboration, and sacrifice from our students.
We were also proud to:

  • Present medals from Georgia Tech and Rickards invitationals
  • Recognize and celebrate our graduating seniors, who leave behind a powerful legacy
  • Come together as a community to reflect on a season that has once again set a high bar

This remarkable achievement builds on earlier regional and invitational successes and reflects the collective dedication of our students, our outstanding coaches Doug Wolfe and Matt Curtis, and our incredible parent volunteers.

With their second consecutive State Championship, Walton now advances to the National Science Olympiad Tournament, carrying forward the same spirit of excellence, curiosity, and humility that defines this team.

Thank you to every parent who supported, contributed, and showed up—your role in this journey is invaluable.

Congratulations to the entire Walton Science Olympiad community—your hard work truly paid off. We’re excited for what comes next.
