On April 4, 2026, after months of rigorous preparation, discipline, and teamwork, the Walton High School Science Olympiad team achieved an extraordinary milestone by earning 1st place at the Georgia State Science Olympiad Tournament, held at Georgia Tech. Competing against many of the strongest schools from across the state, the team demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple events and rose to the top through persistence, collaboration, and deep scientific curiosity. This remarkable achievement builds on their earlier regional and invitational successes and reflects the collective dedication of students, coaches Doug Wolfe and Matt Curtis, and supportive parent volunteers.
